Pe scurt, <b>exonul<\/b> este o secven\u021b\u0103\u00a0 a unei gene care codific\u0103 o anumit\u0103 parte a acidului ribonucleic, pe cand <strong>intronii<\/strong> sunt secventele din gen\u0103 necodificante, care se elimin\u0103 ori de cate ori este necesar\u0103 transcrierea informa\u021biei de pe ADN\u00a0 \u00een\u00a0 acidul ribonucleic (ARN). ARN\u00a0 transmite instructiunile fidel de la nucleu\u00a0 catre\u00a0 &#8220;fabricile&#8221; citoplasmatice (ribozomii) care produc proteine conform &#8220;retetelor&#8221; primite.<\/p>\n<p>Au fost detectate multe diferen\u021be \u00een secven\u021ba exonilor \u0219i intronilor genei responsabile de producerea de DAO, denumit\u0103\u00a0 AOC1, care se datoreaz\u0103 polimorfismului s\u0103u genetic. <strong>Polimorfismele genetice uninucleotidice (SNP)\u00a0<\/strong> sunt variatii la nivelul unui singur nucleotid din lantul de ADN, procesul seam\u0103n\u0103 cu schimbarea unei singure litere dintr-un cuv\u00e2nt. Ins\u0103 dac\u0103 uneori o singur\u0103 liter\u0103 schimbat\u0103 \u00eentr-un cuv\u00e2nt nu altereaz\u0103\u00a0 profund sensul acestuia , alteori \u00een\u021belesul cuv\u00e2ntului poate fi complet diferit, Astfel se poate \u00eentampla \u0219i cu citirea ADN\u00a0 genelor tale \u0219i transmiterea de instruc\u021biuni la nivelul ribozomilor, proteinele rezultate \u00een urma unei\u00a0 mici erori pot avea propriet\u0103\u021bi destul de diferite de varianta original\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen total, conform datelor de la Centrul Na\u021bional pentru Informa\u021bii despre Biotehnologie (NCBI), au fost identificate nu mai pu\u021bin de <strong>85 de variante de polimorfisme<\/strong> uninucleotidice (SNP) localizate \u0219i identificate \u00een gena uman\u0103 a enzimei DAO (AOC1).
